The National Citizens Inquiry (NCI) Alberta hearings held in Edmonton expanded on the troubling realities that children in Canada are facing today. In the Fall of 2024, the NCI asked a crucial question: “Are Children Safe in Canada?” The first set of hearings, held in Vancouver, BC, provided our Commissioners and Canadians with insight into the disturbing challenges that our children, youth, and their families are required to navigate.
I believe that everyone who watched the Vancouver and Edmonton testimonies would agree our children are not safe. I came to the realization that none of us are safe. The many witnesses, both expert and lay, shared deeply troubling information on the systemic
failure of our governments, health agencies, law enforcement, courts and media to take actions to protect our children and families.
Testimony involving child trafficking, Canadians' addictions to a chemically poisoned food supply, young children being exposed to pornography in school, MAiD, vaccine injury, and parental rights being undermined filled the hearing days.
By sharing the truth, the NCI is helping to shift the culture and empower Canadians. I’ve
come to realize that our politicians and judges don’t lead, but rather follow a path of least resistance; a path that strays from truth and justice to one of cultural compliance.
In spite of the disturbing testimony, I came away from the hearings encouraged because, every witness that testified, in their own way has dug in and stood up, regardless of the consequences. They found their voice, found their authority, and has become part of the solution. I was humbled to be
in their company.
I have a deeper appreciation of how important the NCI is. It’s not just about sharing information and exposing the darkness in our society. It’s about standing up, being transformed by participating in this experience. In doing so we claim back our authority and our country. Not only do we find our voice, we help others to find their voice.
I believe that if this time in history is properly recorded the National Citizens Inquiry will
be one of the most important and influential events of this time. Each one of you is participating in the transformation of our society. We can make this world a better place, and we will. Because there is nothing more important than protecting our children. The work of the NCI must continue until our children are safe. If change is to happen, it is up to us.
I’d like to take this moment to honor the contributions of Shawn and Teresa Buckley. The Buckleys have been
instrumental in delivering the NCI hearings since 2023. The impact of their contribution has been substantial, and we owe a debt of gratitude to them both. Their shoes will be hard to fill, however the NCI must and will continue. I trust that other passionate souls will step forward to fulfil their roles.
I invite you to go to NationalCitizensInquiry.ca and watch the testimonies. You will be empowered, informed and your life will be changed. And I invite you to continue to support the NCI to enable us to conduct further hearings.
